David Jennings murdered Albert Edward Farley 65 by shooting him in the NAAFI Canteen, Holy Trinity Institute, Princes Street, Dorchester on 27 January 1941.

David Jennings had been out drinking and when he returned to his barracks he changed into his gym shoes and took his rifle and told his friends he was going out to commit a robbery.

First he went to to an office where he knew there was a safe and tried to shoot it open but that didnt work and so he moved on to the NAAFI club in Princess Street where Albert Farley was the night-watchman. After stealing the petty cash box he left leaving Albert Farley dead. It is not clear how he was shot.
